Centralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV)

Centralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) is a solution that extracts odours and humid air from wet rooms. A central unit, typically installed in loft spaces or cupboards, is connected to a dwelling's wet rooms via ducting. This means that there are no individual fans in each wet room. MEV is an ideal solution for new build but is also often used in retrofit applications. Because the unit is constantly extracting, it is a very effective method of removing stale air, odours, and humidity from wet rooms and therefore ensuring good overall indoor air quality Xpelair can offer a number of MEV solutions in the X Plus 2 family.
