Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilator (dMEV)

A decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) system incorporates continuously running fans, designed to remove odours and humid air out of single wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. dMEV fans operate continuously in each wet room of the property. They run at a low (trickle) speed unless boost speeds are activated by either an external switch or humidity. Because the fans are always in operation they provide a fantastic method of ensuring properties are always well-ventilated. The Xpelair Simply Silent CV4SR and CF20TX fans both meet the requirements for Part F of the UK building Regulations for installation in bathrooms and kitchens. CV4SR is an axial fan and is therefore ideal for installations involving short duct runs and where a longer duct run is required, CF20TX provides the ideal solution.
